Custom Feature Development

Booking, directories, Q&A, dashboards — the parts a template cannot do. We define the scope based on your actual requirements, then build the feature into your existing product.

Description

A standard marketing site stops being standard the moment you need something the template authors did not imagine. A directory with filters. Appointment booking. A client dashboard. A Q&A module. A CLI that talks to the same data as the admin.

We do not start from a plugin marketplace. We start with the problem the feature needs to solve : who uses it, what they must accomplish, what happens when it fails. Then we scope time and cost against that, and “We integrate the feature into your CMS and frontend, with clear TypeScript types, a well-defined data layer, and documentation.

You can see this in Namayandegi Yab (a directory designed so it can grow into a marketplace) and in EnvBox (a dashboard plus an npm CLI, not just a marketing page). The same discipline we use for pages applies to features: clean types, a query layer, no business logic hiding in a button.

If the “feature” is actually a whole product, we will say so in discovery rather than sneak it into a website quote.

What's included

  • Requirements reviewWhat the feature must do, who it is for, and what we can cut without killing the job.
  • Scoped planTime and cost from the actual size of the work — not a guess from a sales deck.
  • Implementation in your stackCollections, UI, and permissions that match the rest of the site. Not a foreign widget.
  • Documentation of what's builtHow it works, how to operate it, where the code lives. The next developer should not have to guess.

The challenge

Off-the-shelf plugins either do too little or arrive with a kitchen sink you will never configure. They also lock your data into someone else’s shape.

Custom work is not “more expensive because custom sounds premium”. Custom development costs more upfront when a feature requires substantial work. But it can save time and money in the long run if an off-the-shelf plugin would require constant workarounds. We will tell you which one you are looking at.

What we do

  • Understand the actual requirementSaying ‘we need a dashboard’ is a starting point, not a complete requirement. We work with you to define what users need to do and how the feature should work.
  • Explain how we'll build itWhat we will make, what we will not, and how long the honest version takes.
  • Point at work we already shippedCase studies and docs, not a capability list with no evidence.

Our process

  1. 01

    Requirements

Users, actions, data, and edge cases. Written down.

  2. 02

    Scope and estimate

A clearly defined first version we can deliver. If the full vision is a product, we phase it.

  3. 03

    Build

We start by defining the data structure in the CMS, then UI, then Edge cases, such as empty states, errors, and permission issues.

  4. 04

    Document and hand off

How to use it, how to extend it, what we would not do again.

Why choose us

  • Built around your actual need

You get the feature you asked for. You do not inherit an unused membership suite.

  • Proven in real projects

Directories, dashboards, and CLI work are in the case studies. Explore the case studies to see examples of our work.

  • Same architecture as the rest of the site

Features use the same types, mappers, and CMS patterns. They do not become a second application nobody wants to touch.

Frequently asked questions

Things we have already had to think through: directories, booking-style flows, dashboards, auth-gated tools, and Command-line tools that work alongside the admin interface. If you need native mobile, heavy data science, or a marketplace in month one, we will tell you that is a different team or a longer product.
