About this project

Zel Designs is a problem-solving-first portfolio template for freelance product designers working in SaaS, fintech, and any niche that demands precise UX. It pairs a confident, outsized hero (“Let's Build Something Unreal”) with a high-density project list and case-study layout — the kind of structure that wins UX-led work over decoration-led portfolios.
Every section is tuned for the freelance product-designer use case:

BSquare was the first site we built as a pair, under the name that came before Bscenius — two Bagheris, “squared.” It had to be a studio home and a place for Amin’s video work, without paying for a CMS server we did not need yet.

We used Sveltia, a Git-based headless CMS. Editors sign in with a GitHub token, write JSON in the repo, and Vercel rebuilds. No Postgres. Content is versioned with the code. For a portfolio and a changelog, that is the correct amount of machinery.

What we actually built:

  • Feature-based folders (blog, changelog, team) so a feature can be deleted without collapsing the app.
  • Modular content blocks (text, quote, code, sliders, FAQ with JSON-LD).
  • Dual team pages, dark/light, a meeting CTA that is a real calendar action rather than a “contact us” dead end.
  • Metadata, sitemap, robots, FAQ schema — enough that the site indexed on the Vercel URL, without a custom domain.

This project is also where we learned a frontend should not be welded to a CMS. The separation was incomplete here; we finished that idea on Bscenius. That is why this site stays in the portfolio: it is the first version of the studio, and the origin of the architecture we now sell.

Results

Proved a studio can ship a fast, editable site without a database, and that technical SEO still works on a *.vercel.app host if the fundamentals are in place.

not using data base

we didn’t wanted to use the complexsitiy of data base at that time but we did want to have somewher to store the data we writing for blog and changlog
what we did

- we add git base data base with Stevlia Cms

- data would save in the reposetory not some data base and there isn’t need for database anymore

- redued the complexcity while store all the data and using Cms 


What is the best way to show the video

I’m video editor and i needed some how show my videos but the public designs sites for portfolio didn’t give me good setup to explain the video and I’d like to have a case study for ones I choose.


what we did

- I create a feature section

- I put videos with embed so I didn’t need to be worrie about the host 
embed was both YouTube , Linking and any platform so you can send embed of the video of your client page so you have it in your archive and attribute is for him

- I add the thumbnail feature if you’d like to set thumbnails

- I add low space webm auto play thumbnails so visitor would see the videos without clicking and also it gives great visual to the site

- I change putt a play button so you can have your own brand designs button and using embed don’t break the hole style

- you can add specific pop up case study for that video or send the client the other series of that video (like a put a 3 ugc stlye for showing the work and put other shorts portfolio slug so client could go there and check other

- you can add which type and which form you edited so if client is looking to your works he can find and see the right one he is looking for 


- minimal and great form to put in your home page

- increase the visualization for your client he would see the videos without scrolling

- unlimited uploading and great site performance

- improve the show case in home page
